To know the limit means you must first go beyond it right? Here's a little footage of my trackday yesterday at Atlanta Motorsports Park.
Thankfully it was the slowest corner, and I didn't hit anything. Unlike one poor ZL1 owner who wasn't so lucky.

So was that snap oversteer from applying the power? Did that once in an old Jag - I was not, however, on a track. The only thing damaged was my ego.

Turn 6 will do that to you. I've gotten very sloppy there when I've been a complete klutz with the throttle (and I have approximately half the power of your M3, so I'd have to basically treat the throttle as an on-off switch to do that)
My biggest screw up at AMP is when I completely screwed T1 up, and took out both the apex and turn out markers. Did I mention that was on Lap 1 of the day?

Yep I was a little too aggressive on the throttle on corner exit. This was right after doing a demo run in a C7 for a few laps. That car can really put the power down on exit compared to my car. Once it get different tires that should help some.

I've told this story before, but briefly - driving a friend's mid-90s 911, pushing it a bit in the corners, and you could feel that rear end start to step around. Lift off and you'd be in trouble, but push a bit too hard and you're staring at the ass end of the car. I was soooo careful after feeling that thing start to step out - lucky I corrected it, though for the life of me I can't remember how.
